Stash-busting #8 - Hats and granny squares.

Mønsteret fant jeg her.

A little more yarn is knitted up into two more hats. They have been finished for a little while, but have been waiting for the pompoms to be sewed on. That took me some time to get around to do.
But here they are; a brown hat size 2 years, and a grey one with stripes size 8 years.
The hats were knitted with two strands of yarn on needles no. 6.
The pattern was found here.

Winnie the Pooh is wearing the smaller hat. I had no one to wear the grey one, so the shape does not come out so well in the photos.

I had a very interested "audience" while taking the photos :) I think it was Winnie the Pooh that caught his attention...

The amount of yarn spent on the brown hat was 75 grams, and 113 grams on the grey one.

After knitting five hats in a row I was getting a bit tired of it, so I decided to use up the rest of the brown and grey superwash wool (plus some bits and ends) on three granny squares for the LILY project. I read about this project on Linda's blog a little while ago, and have had it in mind.
The granny squares are 20x20 cm, and weigh 99 grams alltogether.

All in all that's another 287 grams of yarn destashed, and now all that gloomy brown/grey/dark blue superwash wool is used up!!
