In summer I joined along on Edelirosa's "crochet drive", which meant we should crochet one granny square a day, just for fun.

This was how it started, with these squares crocheted from some leftover yarn of various colours:

The granny squares with yellow and purple edging were put aside for another little project, and eventually I had enough squares with white edging for a blanket/throw.

It has taken a me a while, but finally my "crochet drive" blanket is finished :)

My dog loved the granny squares, and every time I put out pieces of sewed-toghether squares on the floor to have a look at the progress, he would come and lay down on them.

Here is the finished blanket, and it measures 120 x 95 cm.
I wanted to photograph it outside, but as it was raining I had to take the photos indoors which made the colours look too dark.
The blanket is lighter in real life than in the photo, and it it soft and cozy so I am happy with it. It was fun to join in on the "crochet drive, and I would join in again another time :)

Very nice! I have a soft spot for all things granny square. I need to get back to making one a day too. I keep saying it and then I forget. LOL Love the pictures, the dog looks like it is claiming this one for himself. What a cutie.

Thanks Karisma :) I love granny squares too. So many different ones, and so fun to make them.
LOL, yes my dog actually would like to have the blanket all to himself, but I won't let him, at least not yet.
